Sonny Wood II died Wednesday, October 02, 2002 at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 6 at Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice of Houston County, 2066 Watson Boulevard, Warner Robins, 31093.
Born in Toomsboro, Georgia, Mr. Wood was a retired law officer. He was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church, the Rutland Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, 32nd degree, a life member of the VFW Post 6605, and the Peace Officers Association. His father, Glenn L. Wood, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Frances Wood, Warner Robins; daughters, Deborah Ann Wood, Boerne, TX; Rebecca Leigh Wood, Albany; sons, Glenn Wood II, L.A. “Sonny” Wood III, and Mark Wood, all of Warner Robins; brother, David L. Wood, Suwanee; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
