  • Larry Floyd LaPine, 75, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2026, at his home.

  • Born on October 24, 1950, in Tupper Lake, New York, Larry was the son of the late Floyd Joseph and Bertha Mae LaPine. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Rose LaPine, Ruth LaPine, Shirley Patnode, and Joyce Canaday.

  • Larry’s life was defined by service, laughter, and love for his family. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years, a chapter of his life that reflected his deep sense of duty and commitment. Larry always served others through volunteering with the Newcomb Fire Department and by supporting the activities that meant so much to his children, including his son’s Boy Scout troop and his daughter’s swim team.

  • Above all else, Larry will be remembered for his incredible sense of humor. He had a gift for making people laugh, often when they needed it most, and his quick wit and playful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

  • Larry also found great joy in the kitchen. Cooking was one of his greatest passions, and he expressed his love for others through the meals he prepared. Whether it was a simple favorite or a full family gathering, his cooking brought people together and created lasting memories around the table. That same love extended into everything he did, especially time spent with family and friends.

  • He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and volunteering, but his greatest joy came from being surrounded by his loved ones. He especially adored his grandchildren; Summer, Katelyn, Erica, and great-grandchildren; Madelyn, Kendall, and Leo, who were truly the light of his life.

  • Larry is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Doretta (Dorie) LaPine; his son Corey LaPine of Ocoee, Florida; his daughter Tammy LaPine of Kathleen, Georgia; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brother Donald LaPine; his sister Judy Kelso; and many other family members and friends who will carry his memory forward with love and laughter.

  • A funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at McCullough Funeral Home, 417 S. Houston Lake Rd., Warner Robins, Georgia, with Reverend Jackie Thomas, officiating. Family and friends may visit for visitation beginning at 3:30 P.M.

  • For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live at https://www.youtube.com/@McCulloughFuneralHome via the McCullough Funeral Home’s YouTube page.
