Lawrence (Larry) Carlisle, 81, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2005. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, at Antioch United Methodist Church, Gainesville, Georgia with interment following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Antioch United Methodist Church, 2922 Antioch Church Road, Gainesville, Georgia 30506.
Born March 30, 1923, in Jacksonville, Florida, Mr. Carlisle proudly served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War as a Merchant Marine. He was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church. Preceding him in death were parents, Ester L. and Juanita Cryder Carlisle.
Survivors include, loving wife, Annie Bell Carlisle, Gainesville, Georgia; son, George Carlisle and daughter-in-law, Julie, Gainesville, Georgia; daughter, Mary Rosseau and son-in-law, Jim, Warner Robins, Georgia; step-daughter, Susan Hicks and husband, Nelson, Gainesville, Georgia; step-daughter, Cathy Hicks and husband, Kelies, Gainesville, Georgia; step-son, Doug Satterfield and wife, Barbara, Gainesville, Georgia; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
