Lawrence "Larry" John Kutay, 71, of Centerville, entered into eternal rest on May 16, 2025. Born on October 5, 1953, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Larry was the beloved son of the late Stephen and Anne Kutay. He proudly carried his Pennsylvania heritage throughout his life, a legacy he honored every day.
Larry dedicated over 50 years to civil service, a milestone he was deeply proud of. He lived most of his life in Centerville, where he built a warm and welcoming life surrounded by family and friends. In his younger years, Larry was an avid tennis player and always maintained a zest for life. He especially enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson and later took great joy in cruising his neighborhood in his golf cart. For the past 20 years, Larry shared his life with his beloved wife, Glenda Hoffman. He was warmly embraced by her New York family, who welcomed him as one of their own from the very beginning. Larry had a sweet tooth for chocolate and a heart full of kindness. His presence lit up every room, and his legacy of service, love, and laughter will remain with those who knew him. Larry was preceded in death by his brothers, Mark and Ron Kutay.
Larry is survived by his children: Matthew Kutay, Eli Hoffman (Laurie), and Laura Kinkade (Kevin); his cherished grandchildren; Savannah (Frances), Miranda, Raegan, Kynnedy, Caleb, and Madison; and his loving siblings, Judy Wozniak (Roger), Janet Leverett (Steve), Stephanie Hall (John), Andrea Nygaard (Thor), and Tommy Kutay (Susan); sister in laws, Deb Kutay and Stephanie Kutay. Larry was a devoted brother, father, grandfather, and friend. The family would like to extend a special thank you to caregiver, Cynthia Best and Georgia Hospice, including Jay and Rose.
