Lawrence ''Smitty'' Smith

Lawrence “Smitty” Smith, 76, died Wednesday, October 31, at Medical Center of Central Georgia. Services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, November 3 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following at 3:00pm in UDC Memorial Cemetery in Pelham, GA. Visitation will be Friday from 7:00 until 9:00pm at McCullough Funeral Home.
Born in Baker Hill, AL, Mr. Smith was a veteran of World War II and served in the United States Army. He was the owner of Smith Plumbing and Heating, since 1954. He was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. He was predeceased by his parents, Jessie Daniel Smith and Hattie Smith, and a son, James L. Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey B. Smith; son, David Bass of Lumber City; daughter, Ginger Page of Warner Robins; sisters, Laura Harris of Pelham, Nelle Rackley of Camilla; and brother, Jack Smith of Pelham.
McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
