Leah Marie Smith

Leah Marie Smith, 40, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.

Leah Marie Young was born on December 8, 1985, to Craig and Marla Young. She was later adopted by her grandparents, Howard and Martha Smith, who changed her name to Leah Marie Smith. She began attending Sacred Heart Catholic School soon after. Leah went on to study criminal forensics at Central Georgia Technical College.

Leah’s greatest joy was being a mother. She welcomed her first son, Chesley (Dylan) into the world in December of 2010, and her second, Asher, in October of 2019. Her two boys were the center of her world.

Leah was an independent, strong-willed young woman. Her bold spirit, beautiful smile, and deep love for her family will forever be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Leah is survived by her beloved sons, Dylan and Asher; her brother, Michael; her sisters, Alissa, Sydney, and Kayla; her mother, Marla, and her stepfather, Gary.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in honor of Leah to Donate Life America to support their initiative to educate, inspire and activate the public to say yes to registering their decision to be an organ, eye and tissue donor.
