Leslie "Lee" Everton Johnson, Sr.

Leslie “Lee” Everton Johnson, Sr., 80, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.

Lee was born on October 6, 1942, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Edwin and Natalie Johnson. Lee spent 28 ½ years as a communications technician in the United States Air Force, where he held many leadership positions throughout his career before retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. He never met a stranger; he could talk to anyone and everyone and found himself counseling others often as a result. In his free time, he enjoyed fixing and building anything he could, playing bingo and cards, and singing. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.

In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his daughter, Felicia Johnson, and siblings, Ralph Johnson, Gregory Johnson, Carlton Johnson, and Roxanne Johnson.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 45 years, Arlette Johnson; children, Leslie Johnson, Jr., Aaron Johnson (Tabatha), Joycelyn Wilson, Mario Johnson, Lesley Garratt (Daniel), and Mark Heath; siblings, Nan Johnson, Sylvia Wilson, Cornelia Johnson, Jon Johnson, and Selma Johnson; along with many grandchildren and other loving family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 14, 2023, at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, where Lee will be laid to rest.
