“Lilly” Carol Mathews Trussell

Carol Trussell, 70, died Friday, May 17 at Middle Georgia Hospital in Macon. Services will be held at Green Acres Baptist Church on Monday, May 20 at 4 pm with interment following at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday May 19th from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mrs. Trussell was born in Macon County, GA. She graduated from Schley County High School and has been a resident of Warner Robins, GA since 1956. She was a retired Civil Service employee from Robins Air Force Base, where she worked as a Procurement Officer. Mrs. Trussell was a member of the Lois Sunday School Class at Green Acres Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Woodman of the World and NARF. Her parents, Erby and Hilda Mathews, and her brothers, Athon and Randall Mathews, preceded her in death.

She was survived by her husband, Billy Trussell, Warner Robins; her children, Billy Richard Trussell (wife Nan), Warner Robins, Kevin Nelson Trussell (wife Angel), St. Augustine, FL, Travis Dale Trussell (wife Sandra), Lawrenceville, GA, Craig Mathews Trussell (wife Tanya), Dacula, GA, and Sonya Carol Trussell Morgan (husband Mike), Lawrenceville, GA; her grandchildren, Aaron, Jason, Dell, Ryan, Bryn, and Megan Trussell, Brandon and Reagan Morgan; her step-grandchildren, Corey and Joe Courser, and Tina Ross; one great-grandchild and three step-great-grandchildren.
