Linda Ann Bennett, 76, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

Linda was born on April 9, 1948, in Columbus, Georgia to the late Herbert Rayford DeMott and Mary Grace Bass. A woman of exceptional intellect and compassion, Linda dedicated her life to serving others. She earned multiple degrees throughout her career, including a degree in Business Management, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and an Occupational Health Nursing (OHN) certification. These accomplishments were a testament to her relentless pursuit of knowledge and her passion for caring for others. For over 21 years, Linda worked as a Registered Nurse, where her unwavering dedication, expertise, and kindness made her a cherished part of every team she joined. Outside of her professional life, Linda had a love for traveling and savoring her daily cup of coffee. 

Linda leaves behind a legacy of compassion, wisdom, and a profound dedication to both her work and the people she loved. Linda's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her stepchildren, Gail Marie Bennett and Russell J. Bennett and brother, Robert S. DeMott. 

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband, Maurice William Bennett; children, Joseph Gandy (Kim) of Powell, Tennessee, and Jennifer Rowe (Gary) of Byron, Georgia; stepchildren, Ronald Allen Bennett of Massachusetts, Cheryl L. McDonald (Rick) of Rhode Island, and Maurice W. Bennett, Jr. (Val) of Massachusetts; daughter and beloved friend, Janice Fisher (Michael) of Jacksonville, Florida; brother, Ronald A DeMott, along with 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at First Christian Church of Perry. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of First Christian Church of Perry.
