Lois Major, 100, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014.

Lois was born on November 4, 1914 in Greenwood, South Carolina. She was a charter member of St. Marks Methodist Church. Lois worked as an administrator at Fort Gordon Army Post where she retired after 20 years. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Her husband; James Loften Major, Sr., son; Charles Guy Major, and parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Scott, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughter; Nancy Klam, son; James Major, Jr., daughter- in- laws; Noy Major and Connie Major, 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 11, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held in the chapel of Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Augusta at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
