Lorraine Galpin MyGrant, 74, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 23, 2024.
Lorraine was born on April 5, 1950, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Alvin and Venita Galpin. After relocating to Georgia with her family, she was a graduate of Northside High School. She deeply loved her family and enjoyed any time she could spend with them making memories. With her servant’s heart, she enjoyed taking care of others and sacrificing herself, and her free time, to come to the aid of others during their time of need. Down to earth and easy going, she enjoyed doing arts and crafts in her younger years such as pottery, wreaths, and ceramics. Her sweet spirit will be deeply missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood Steve MyGrant.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Jason Lowery of Rockledge, Florida, Andrew Lowery (Tori) of Byron, Georgia, and Angela Lowery Pierce (Charles) of Centerville, Georgia; grandchildren, Bryce Lowery (Amira) of Macon, Maddison Lowery (Grant) of Centerville, Dru Lowery of Centerville, Logan Pierce of Centerville and Aayla Pierce of Centerville; great-grandchildren, Kohen Smith and Addy Lowery; and brother, Danny Galpin along with many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Lorraine will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
