Louise C. Griffin

In the early evening hours of Thursday, December 21, 2017, Eva Louise Coy Griffin, 84, joined her Lord and Savior in heaven.

Mrs. Griffin was born on August 7, 1933 in Kitchel, Indiana to the late Herschel and Vera Pentecost Coy. She was a talented seamstress and worked for many years until her retirement from Hancock Fabrics. Her church family was very important to her, and she was very active in all aspects of church life. She was a long-time member of Central Baptist Church where she faithfully taught the four-year old Sunday School class for more than twenty years. But, above all else, Mrs. Griffin’s priority was her beloved family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the center of her world. She was very involved in the lives of her children and their various community activities. She was loved by all who were privileged to know her, and she will be greatly missed. Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her loving husband, David L. Griffin.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Connie Miller (Walt) of Macon, Georgia, Rhonda Jones (Tom) of Gray, Georgia, Brad Griffin of Winterville, Georgia, and Jay Griffin (Natalie) of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her sisters, Alice Hiner of New Castle, Indiana and Irma Wade of Osgood, Indiana; and her brother, Jim Coy (Debbie) of New Castle, Indiana.

The funeral service celebrating Mrs. Griffin’s life will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 28, 2017, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Dilks officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, Mrs. Griffin will be laid to rest next to her husband in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church, 1120 Lake Joy Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
