Lt. Col. Samuel Keith Kelley

September 6, 1947 — March 14, 2017

Samuel Kelley, 69, entered Heaven's gates on Tuesday, March 14, 2017.

Samuel was born on September 6, 1947 in Grayson, Kentucky, to the late Reverend Cula and Mary Kelley. With great pride and honor, he served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm; retiring after 28 years of service with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Following retirement, Samuel worked as a contractor at Robins Air Force Base for 11 years. He continued his education at Cedarville University in Ohio where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree in economics and accounting. Samuel was a member of Southside Baptist Church and the VFW in Warner Robins. His family was his whole world.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Harlen Kelley; Helen Reeves; and Hylen Kelley.

His memory will forever be treasured by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 48 years, Constance Kelley of Warner Robins; children, Jennifer Fowler (Craig) of Warner Robins; Jason Kelley (Bethany) of Athens; and grandchildren, Julianna Fowler of Warner Robins; Jack and Hank Kelley of Athens.

Visitation will be Friday, March 17, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McCullough with full military honors. Pastor Randall Nash will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Samuel Kelley to the VFW Foundation, 406 West 34th St. Kansas City, MO 64111 or www.vfwfoundation.org.
