Lucille D. Horsley, 85, passed away on the morning of Thursday, August 6, 2020, at Hazel Colson Hospice House in Perry.
Born in Carrollton, Georgia, Lucille was the daughter of the late Alfred A. Davis and Pearlie Winkles Davis Griffin.
Lucille enjoyed crocheting and painting, but was best known for her personality. She considered herself a true comedian. She was funny and never had a filter, always saying what was on her mind. She will be remembered for giving her family a hard time with her sense of humor.
In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her son, James Erion Horsley, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Helen Horsley.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Robert Alvin Horsley, and Debora Sue Horsley; siblings, Carolyn Cody, Scarlet Reynolds, Sharon Payne, and Gary Ronald Davis; granddaughter, Jessica Brown (James); and great-grandchildren, Naomi and Andrew Horsley.
Visitation for Ms. Horsley will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2020. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2020, at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Lucille D. Horsley to Happy Hour Service Center, 202 N. Davis Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia 31093.
