Luise “Anni” Weikal, age 82, passed away on April 24, 2026.
Born on January 15, 1944, in Bad Wimpfen, Germany, Anni was the daughter of the late Karl and Emma von Langen.
Anni was a devoted military wife and later a retiree from Robins Air Force Base. She was an active member of the local German Club and could often be found enjoying meals at her favorite spots, El Bronco, IHOP, or Huddle House. Anni also relaxed at a local pub with friends, sharing both laughter from her quick-wit and stories over a cold drink. Her carefree spirit and lively social life often drew playful teasing from younger generations, who often claimed that she had more of a social life than they did!
Additionally, Anni cherished spending time with loved ones, especially game nights at Andrea and Wayne’s home, and treasured traveling with friends. Anni lived by the philosophy, “You can’t control what’s not in the palm of your hand.”
In addition to her parents, Anni was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 21 years, Frank Weikal; and her son-in-law, Jason Holland.
She is survived by her children: Tina Holland of Bonaire, GA; Dyana Stanley of Silverton, OR; Donald (Michelle) McNett of Tacoma, WA; and Andrea (Wayne) Fisher of Kathleen, GA. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Richard Chambers, Christina Stanley, Brian Jackson, Nicole (Austin) Lindberg, and Jared (Sophie) Holland; as well as six great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.
Anni lived fully, loved deeply, and left behind a legacy of joy that will not be forgotten. A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in Andersonville National Cemetery where Anni will be laid to rest.
