Mack Mitchell Martin, Jr.

Mack Mitchell Martin, Jr., 56, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 28, 2008.

Mack was born on January 27, 1952 in Peach County. He was employed at Blue Bird Body Company for thirty-one years as a Tooling Engineer. He served his country with pride and honor in the Air Force Reserves and was a member of First Baptist Church of Centerville. His father-in-law, R.C. DeFoor, preceded him in death.

His memory will be forever treasured by wife, Deborah DeFoor Martin, Warner Robins; daughter, Jenae Griffin (Tripp), Macon; son, Mack Mitchell Martin, III, Warner Robins; parents, Mack Mitchell Martin, Sr. and Jeanelle Martin, Fort Valley; sisters, Teressa Kennemore (Mike), Saluda, South Carolina, Melba Smith (Steve), Macon and Audrey Williams (Frankie), Barnwell, South Carolina; brother, Donald Martin (Pamela), Perry, and mother-in-law, Sarah DeFoor; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 29, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2008, in First Baptist Church of Centerville with interment following in Centerville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale, Memphis TN 38105-2794 or to Emory University, Woodruff Health Sciences Center, 1440 Clifton Rd. NE, Suite 112, Attention Leigh Hurt (Neurological Research), Atlanta GA 31322.
