Major Phillip Micah Edgar, USAF (Ret.)

Major Phillip Micah Edgar, USAF (Ret.), 54, passed away at his home on Friday, September 25, 2026.

Micah was born on July 2, 1972, at Camp Pendleton, California to Edward Neal Edgar and the late Pearl Jane Carter Edgar. With honor and dignity, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring from service after attaining the rank of Major. Subsequent to his military retirement, he continued serving his country as a civilian on Robins Air Force Base where he was actively employed in acquisitions at the time of his passing.

Perhaps because he was born into a military family and then joined the military himself, Micah enjoyed traveling the world and seeing new things. In the autumn, he could usually be found in a deer stand looking for the perfect buck. And on Sundays, he enjoyed serving in the nursery at church. But his greatest joy in life came from time spent with his family—especially his beautiful granddaughter with whom he enjoyed playing video games. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl Jane Carter Edgar, and his grandmother, Marna Edgar.

Micah's memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Michelle Edgar; his daughter, Ruby Edgar; his granddaughter, Ryleigh Edgar; his father, Neal Edgar; his siblings, Kelli Sakoman (Alan), Elizabeth Collins (Brian), and Scott Edgar; his nephews, Brent Collins and Xander Sakoman; his niece, Kat Collins; special family friend, Beverly Johnson; and a host of extended family members and friends.

At the family’s request, all services will be private.
