Margaret Evans Fasy

April 13, 1942 — August 21, 2025

Warner Robins

Margaret Evans Fasy, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, entered into rest on August 21, 2025, at the age of 83.

Margaret was born on April 13, 1942, in Waterloo, Iowa, to the late Ken and Thyra Lee Buck Evans. She grew up in Glencoe, Illinois, and graduated from New Trier Township High School, where she found joy in dancing, drama and theater. After attending the University of Illinois for one year, she married and moved to California. Her educational journey continued at San Jose State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.

Margaret devoted her life to serving others through her work in occupational therapy. She began her career at Fresno Community Hospital before moving to Jackson, California, where she developed an occupational therapy program as Director of Therapy at Amador Hospital. After a brief pause to enjoy life on a ranch in Railroad Flat, CA—where she cared for her beloved horse, Bonnie—Margaret continued her education at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, studying psychology.

Her career flourished at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, where she created and ran a successful occupational therapy program for many years. She later established a rehabilitation program at Utah State Hospital, dedicating herself to improving the lives of countless patients until her retirement.

After retiring, Margaret settled in Lehi, Utah, where she married Edward Fasy. The couple shared a loving marriage until his passing in 2016. Following his death, Margaret moved to Warner Robins, Georgia, to be near her family and grandchildren. She embraced southern life, enjoying its history, warmth, and hospitality.

Margaret lived a life full of creativity, compassion, and faith. She loved her cocker spaniel, Tucker, and filled her days with her exceptional talents including painting, sewing, knitting, needlework, and genealogy. Her artistic talents were matched only by her deep commitment to her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she was an active member of the Warner Robins 2nd Ward congregation in Warner Robins, GA.

Margaret will be remembered for her dedication to helping others, her deep love of family, and her many talents. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched through her work, her service, and her love. She was a beautiful soul inside and out and lit up a room with her smile and laugh.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Fasy; and siblings, Mary Lowe, Johnny Evans, and Kendra Higgins. Plus, all those she found through her diligent years of genealogy work; it will be a grand reunion.

She is in paradise and it is beautiful.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Keith Carlson (Lisa) of Bonaire, Georgia; grandchildren, Brandon Carlson (Lauren), Kaylee Holm (Corey), Tyler Carlson, and Marissa Carlson; great-grandchildren, Bentley Carlson, Kade Carlson, and Rhett Holm; and sister, Mrs. David (DeeDee) Boyer.

The family will gather for a private service at a later date.
