Peggy was born in Camilla, GA on September 14, 1950, to the late Thomas E. McMinn, Jr and Emily Odessa Cameron McMinn. She was raised in Warner Robins, GA, graduated from Warner Robins High School, and attended Andrew College.

She wed Russell Tucker in 1982. They were married 27 years until his passing.

Peggy was an assistant librarian at The Houston County Public Library until she moved to Albany, GA in 2012 to be closer to her family. She worked as a receptionist at Albany ARC until retiring in 2018. She was a member of The First Methodist Church of Albany and the Communion Sunday School Class. She loved her family, friends, and had a special affinity for her church, especially her Sunday School and the ladies who ministered to her through the Miracle Meals program.

Peggy was quick with her smile and befriended everyone she met. She was always encouraging lifting spirits wherever she was whether it was Publix, Sunday Evening with the Neighbors (SEWN), and all spots in between. Her spirit was infectious, resulting in everyone around her feeling a bit more special.

Survivors include her sister, Pam (Rick) Doherty of Leslie, GA, her nieces, Cameron McMinn Doherty of Leslie, GA, Shannon Hartley Doherty of Macon, GA and her cousins and extended family.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Narthex just outside Walden Chapel.
