Marie Burris Hawk

Marie Burris Hawk, 82, entered into rest on Sunday, January 18, 2009.

Ms. Hawk was born on February 13, 1926 in Soperton, Georgia. A homemaker of the Baptist Faith, she was a member of the Moose Motor Boat Club. Her husband, Charles Reese Hawk; brothers, James Thomas and T.C. Burris; sisters, Mary Ranow and Ruby Joyner; and parents, Clarence Wesley Burris and Arlie Pearl Hightower Burris, all preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her sons, Ken Hawk, Kathleen, Gary Hawk (Teresa), Perry, Allen Hawk (Trish), Kathleen, and Ricky Hawk, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Shane Hawk (Brittani), Ball Ground, Trey Swain, Savannah, Adam Hawk (Sarah), Macon, Dylan Morris, Kathleen, and Erica Ratliff, Kathleen; great-granddaughter, Quinn Hawk, Ball Ground; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 20, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Sidney Odom officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to Heart of Georgia Inpatient Hospice, 1120 Morningside Drive, Perry GA 31069.
