Marie "Sylvia" Jordan Klein

Marie "Sylvia" Jordan Klein, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the age of 85.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Sylvia was the daughter of the late William and Merle Jordan. She graduated from East Jefferson High School and furthered her education at Louisiana State University (LSU) on a music scholarship. Sylvia was a proud member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority, and an LSU football fan. She was also a devoted member of the Oliver Pollock Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Sylvia's life was enriched by her marriage to the late John H. Klein, with whom she shared 62 years. Together, they raised their three sons in Florida, Louisiana, and Virginia, eventually retiring to Warner Robins, Georgia, in 2012.

An exceptionally caring individual, Sylvia found joy in singing in church choirs and playing her guitar. She was also passionate about felines and delighted in attending cat shows in the greater Atlanta area.

In addition to her parents and spouse, Sylvia was preceded in death by her son, Keith Klein.

Sylvia will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, Brent Klein (Donna), and John J. Klein (Capi); cherished grandchildren, Jordan, Steven, Jacey, and Emily; and a host of relatives and friends.

A memorial service honoring Sylvia's life will be announced and held at a later date. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
