Mario Barroso, 51, entered into rest on Monday, May 6, 2013.
Mario was born on January 3, 1962 in Staunton, Virginia. A 1980 graduate of Warner Robins High School, he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Georgia State University. He was a devoted stay-at-home dad, and loved taking his family fishing with every opportunity he had. Mario enjoyed collecting stamps and coins and was a devout member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. His son, John Martin Barroso; father, Carlos Barroso; and brother, Carlos Barroso, III, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of twenty-five years, Jackie Kilraine-Barroso, Kathleen; sons, Joseph, Matthew, and Christopher Barroso, all of Kathleen; mother, Marta Barroso, Warner Robins; siblings, Andres Barroso (Angela), Macon and Maria Butler (Jeffrey), Grayson, Georgia; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be said on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a Committal Service following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. The family will accept flowers, or donations may be given to the Patient Access Network Foundation, 1331 F Street NW, Suite 975, Washington, DC 20004 or to CancerCare, 275 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10001.
