Mark Steven Golub, 70, passed away peacefully on the evening of Sunday, September 27, 2026.

Mark was born on November 16, 1955, in Blackshear, Georgia to the late Milton and Allie Mae Peacock Golub. He enjoyed a stellar career with the V.A., retiring as a supervisor. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and camping, and he was an avid gardener. He was a devoted family man, but his fur babies really had his heart.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving husband, Dale Waltemire; his children, Jay Vanschaick, Eli Waltemire, Willow Waltemire, and Avria Golub-Waltemire; his four grandchildren; his brother, Phillip Golub; and a host of other extended family members and friends.

A memorial gathering to visit with Mark’s family will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Farmhouse at McCullough Funeral Home.
