Mary Lavon Rabun Adkins, 72, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 21, 2008.
Mrs. Adkins was born on April 22, 1936 in Wheeler County, Georgia. A civil servant, she retired from Robins Air Force Base as a Computer Programmer. She attended Second Baptist Church of Warner Robins. Her son, Richard Allen Vaughn; parents, Dewey Lee Rabun and Mavil Rebecca Lloyd Rabun; and six brothers and sisters, all preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, James Perry Plunkett; children, Robert Daniel Vaughn, Jr., (Dianne), North Carolina, and Rebecca Winnie Vaughn, Florida; daughter-in-law, Jenny Vaughn, Macon; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 25, 2008, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home, with funeral services following at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 25, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Loy Ballard officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
