Mary Frances Camp, 89, entered into eternal rest on September 15, 2026.

Frances was born on March 28, 1937, in Macon, GA, to the late James and Mary Ann Liles. She was raised in Macon, where she attended Dudley Hughes High School. Frances took her first job at a record store, where she loved getting to order the shop’s records and collect her favorites. Frances would later go on to become a master cake decorator. She became the head decorator for Winn Dixie and Kroger, providing beautiful cakes for countless weddings, birthdays, and other special events. Frances considered it a great honor to be a part of these special moments for so many people. Frances’ final job was as the owner and operator of a personal care home in Adrian, GA, called Royal Oaks. She took pride in taking care of the people there – Frances loved being a light in the lives of her residents.

In her free time, Frances enjoyed sewing and cooking. She loved being able to share her meals with the people she loved. She made the best chocolate cupcakes and always brought a mean dressing to Thanksgiving dinners. Frances was a big fan of country music, especially the oldies. She could often be found enjoying a cup of her favorite ice cream. Frances was also a member of Union Chapel Evangelistic Church for many years.

Above all, Frances loved her family. Her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids had a special place in her heart. She would watch every move her grandbabies made, and she made sure to tell everybody about them, too. She went out of her way to make every birthday and holiday feel special. Frances was firm, feisty, funny, and gentle. She was a hard worker, a caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a dear soul.

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded by her beloved husband, Edward T. Camp; her daughter, Janice Bennett; her brother, J.D. “Bubba” Liles; and her sisters, Barbara Ann Elliot and Brenda and Rusty Sawyer.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Teresa Bass (Joquin Montes) of Grantville, GA, Wanda E. Bryant of Bonaire, GA, Sherry J. Creel (Mitch) of Warner Robins, GA, and Donna Stripling (Lester) of Warner Robins, GA; her grandchildren, Kimberly Coker (Jay), Justin Bryant (Christine), Jason Bryant (Jordan), Makenna Jarriel (Heath), Dalton Stripling, Karl Darden (Aaron), Sophia Everson (Jason), and Nikki Mussellwhite; her great-grandchildren, Carson, Peyton, Kodi, Kaley, Addy, Tate, Micah, Brighton, Allie, Hallie, Holt, Hagan, Jason Jr., Hoyt, Riley, Blake, and Tyler; her siblings, Ronnie Liles (Marsha) and Rufus Liles (Shari); and her sister-in-law, Nancy Liles; along with a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in McCullough Funeral Home’s chapel. Frances will then be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Frances to a charity of your choosing.
