Mary Elizabeth Ray Stapleton

Mary Elizabeth Ray Stapleton, 87, entered into rest on Friday, October 4, 2013, after a lengthy illness.

Elizabeth was born on June 9, 1926 in Lumber City, Georgia. Her husband, Owen M. Stapleton and parents, Prentice Ray and Bertha Mae Floyd Ray, preceded her in death. Having lived in Middle Georgia since the mid-fifties, she was a homemaker and worked at the Tog Shop, New Perry Hotel and B.C. Moore's. She was of the Methodist faith.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Marti Harper (Lynn), Macon; Patricia Lynch, Perry; and Ray Stapleton (Angela), Madison; grandchildren, Heath Harper (Deann), Matthew Lynch, Drew Stapleton, Seth Stapleton and two brothers.

Visitation will be Monday, October 7, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with funeral services following at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Happy Hour Workshop, 716 Young Avenue Warner Robins, Georgia 31093.
