Mary Ellen Gibbs Ballinger

Mary Ellen Ballinger, 64, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2006. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Happy Hour Workshop, 802 Young AVE, Warner Robins, GA 31093.

Mrs. Ballinger was born on February 6, 1942 in Abbeville, Georgia. She was a member of Hayneville Baptist Church. A homemaker, devoted wife and dedicated mother, she truly enjoyed spending time with her family. Mary Ellen also worked for fourteen years at Fincher’s Barbeque. Her husband of thirty nine years, David Guy Ballinger and their son, David Ballinger, both preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Melisha Ann Ballinger, Warner Robins; parents, Homer L. Gibbs and Grace Gibbs, siblings, Doster Gibbs (Sheila), Kathleen; Medra Gorman, Warner Robins; Keith Gibbs, Warner Robins; Kenneth Gibbs (Sandra), Centerville; Mike Gibbs, (Roxane), Elko; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
