MaryAnn Dorine "Dori" McGalliard

MaryAnn Dorine McGalliard, lovingly known to everyone as ‘Dori,’ was born on July 13, 2022, in Warner Robins, Georgia. In just a few short years, she brought immeasurable joy, laughter, and love into the lives of all who knew her. On September 4, 2025, Dori went home to be with the Lord, leaving behind memories that will forever shine as brightly as her beautiful little spirit.

Dori lived her days with a heart wide open and a soul full of sunshine. She never took life too seriously—her goofiness, fun-loving nature, and affectionate hugs made every moment brighter. She loved to snuggle, to sing sweet songs, and to shower her family with the kind of pure love only a child can give.

Her adventurous spirit drew her outside daily, where she would hunt frogs with her siblings, run barefoot, and soak in the wonder of God’s creation. Though she loved to play dress-up in frilly clothes, she was just as happy digging in the dirt, perfectly content being both a princess and an explorer.

Dori had a special bond with her “Grandy,” and her thoughtful little heart often found ways to give gifts to those she loved most. She was also quite the foodie—known for sneaking into the fridge and pantry, and even hiding away with her favorite treat: ice cream.

Sundays were especially meaningful to her, as she delighted in dressing up for church and sharing in the joy of faith and family.

As the youngest baby girl, Dori was cherished beyond measure. She was the most mellow of her siblings, yet she radiated a playful spark that made her uniquely her own. Her love for animals—especially the family cat—her laughter, and her tender spirit will be remembered forever.

Though her time here was brief, Dori’s life was full—of love, laughter, curiosity, and grace. She leaves behind a legacy of joy that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Dori was preceded in death by her great-grandmothers, Jo Ann Branch and Marvis Dorine Cole; and great-great-grandmother, Mary Lou Simmons.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her adoring parents, Phillip Rhett McGalliard and Kelly Cole McGalliard; siblings, Chip McGalliard, Rhynleigh McGalliard, Norah McGalliard, and Knox McGalliard; grandparents, Charles Cole, Jean Cole (John Geisinger), and Phil McGalliard (Joni); great-grandparents, Charles Cole, Sr., Phillip Branch (Patsy), and Edward McGalliard (Annette); aunts and uncles, Jordan McGalliard (Naomi), Joanna Dowdy (Shipp), Ella McGalliard, Jeni Hughes (Justin), Daniel Cole (Nicole), and Alicia Porter (Scott); cousins, Hayle Hughes, Quinton Porter, Kyson Porter, Jaxson Hughes, Teddy McGalliard, Lawrence McGalliard, and Bonnie Kate McGalliard.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a funeral service celebrating Dori’s life immediately following in the chapel. Afterward, Dori will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
