Hilda Walters, 86, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Pine Pointe Hospice.
Born in Munich, West Germany on August 13, 1930, Hilda came to America following World War II after marrying her beloved husband, Ernest Baca, the father of her three sons. She was a naturalized citizen who loved her adopted country as her own. Mrs. Walters was also a talented seamstress who loved dancing as much as life. She was a volunteer with the VFW and devout parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Hilda's family and friends will always cherish the happy and fun memories she leaves behind in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ernest Baca and Ross Walters; her eldest son, Henry Baca; her daughter-in-law, Linda Celentano Baca; and grandson, Damien Baca.
Hilda's memory will forever be treasured by her son, Steve Baca (Susan) and his two daughters, Laurel and Stefanie of Independence, Oregon and her son, Alan Baca (Diane) of Lizella, Georgia; and her grandson, D. Henry Mahoney.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 9th from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A private graveside funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in Magnolia Park Cemetery where Hilda will be laid to rest. Deacon Ron Simons will officiate.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Houston Medical Center for the excellent care Mrs. Walters received. The family also gives their upmost thanks to those wonderful staff at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon. Their kindness and care for our mother during these difficult days will never be forgotten. Bless you all for all that was done.
