Mavis D. Robinson, 83, entered into rest on September 29, 2010.
Born on January 30, 1927 in Vaiden, Mississippi, Mrs. Robinson was self-employed cosmetologist for thirty years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was of the Protestant Faith. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Dewayne Robinson, parents, William Garner and Luna McClure Garner, and siblings, Barksdale Garner, Adel Hovas and Ruth Garner.
She will live in the hearts of her daughters, Karen (Phillip) Johnson, Kathleen; Kandy Weigart, Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Donna Morgan, Virginia; grand children, Jason D. (Sheryl) Bright, and P.J. (Jessie) Johnson; keeper of her heart, great-grandson Alex Bright, and step-great-grandchildren, Trinity and Trey Johnson; loving sister-in-law Hazel Garner, Winona, Mississippi, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, October 1, 2010, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2010, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon GA 31201.
