Michael Phillips, a loving husband and wonderful father, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 8, 2016. He was 69 years old.
Michael was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late L.J. and Lillian Brown Phillips. For 32 years, he was a photographer at Robins Air Force Base before retiring. In addition to photography, Michael had many other interests and hobbies that kept him busy including volunteering as a youth league umpire, coaching Little League Football, fishing, hunting, and golfing. He was also a radio announcer for WRBN-WQCK for several years. Michael was honored to be a 32nd Degree Mason and member of Southside Baptist Church. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He leaves his memory behind with his devoted wife of 45 years, Mary Phillips and son, Christopher Drake Phillips, both of Warner Robins. Michael was preceded in death by his parents as well as his daughter, Kelly Erin Phillips.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15th in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.
