Michelle Lynn (Sanders) Stephens

Michelle Lynn (Sanders) Stephens, age 51, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

Michelle was born on April 15, 1974, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to the late Robert and Patricia Liston Sanders. She spent many years working as a medical biller at the Eye Center of Central Georgia.

She had a sharp sense of humor and an infectious laugh. A devoted animal lover, she especially cherished her dogs. Above all, Michelle loved her family, especially spending time playing and laughing with them. She was a beloved “Aunt Mimi.”

Michelle was deeply socially conscious and cared about the world around her. She loved music, particularly U2, and enjoyed the outdoors through camping and hiking. Singing was one of her greatest joys, especially Christmas carols. She also had a remarkable sense of direction, a love for geography, and a fascination with maps, earning her a reputation as a great navigator.

Michelle will be remembered for her kindness, wit, curiosity, and the love she shared so freely with those who were blessed enough to have known her.

At the family’s request, all services held will be private.

Michelle leaves behind her husband, Jesse Stephens of Warner Robins; siblings, Greg Sanders (Stephanie) of Perry, and Kim Sanders of Warner Robins; nieces and nephews, Brianna, Ainsley, Zachary, and Keenan Sanders, all of Perry; and her dogs, “Scooter” “Macy” and “Millie.”
