Minnie Ethyl Bridges Davis, 80, passed away peacefully at her home after a brief illness on Saturday, November 22, 2014.
Minnie was born on September 1, 1934 in Pitts, Georgia. She graduated from Hawkinsville High School in 1952. Mrs. Davis worked at Warner Robins Air Force Base for forty-eight years as a valued employee and contractor between 1956-2006. In 1995, she became a member of Northview Methodist Church in Warner Robins, Georgia where she was the finance secretary for five years after her retirement.
Her parents; William Elighe and Ethyl Mae Sellars Bridges, grand-daughter; Adona Brooks, and great-grandaughter; Madison Brooks, preceded her in death.
Minnie was the beloved wife to Edward Davis for fifty-five years. Their three daughters Wanda (Rick) Hummel, Shellia (Frank) Kipa and Sandra (Luke) Maxwell loved their mother dearly. She enjoyed decorating her home and visits with her grandchildren. Her love of cooking and family was her great joy. She had become the Matriarch of the Bridges Clan for the last 20 years. Mrs. Davis has four grandchildren, Mandy (Jason) Wright of Gray, Will Maxwell of Houston, Texas, Chrissy and Charlie Maxwell of Marietta, Georgia, and two great-granddaughters; Briana and Olivia Wright. She is survived by sisters Nell Bramblett of Lake Joy, Mattie Weng of Selina, Ohio.
Visitation will be Friday, November 28, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 28, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
