Mitchell Joseph Barecky passed away on June 25, 2026.
Born on December 17, 1981, in Warner Robins, Georgia, Mitchell spent his life in the community he called home. He attended Northside High School before joining the family business, Barecky Construction, where he put his strong work ethic, mechanical abilities, and natural talent for building and fixing things to good use.
Mitchell was happiest when he was busy. Sitting still simply wasn't in his nature. Whether he was working on his truck, repairing something mechanical, or tackling his next project, he was always on the move and always finding something to do. Friends and family often joked that if something was broken, Mitchell could figure out a way to make it work. He had a knack for making things work. A master "Jerry-rigger," Mitchell could piece together a repair with whatever materials he had on hand.
When he wasn't working, Mitchell enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially going mudding and making memories with family and friends. He also had a playful side and was well known for his beloved potato cannon, which brought plenty of laughter and entertainment over the years. His fun-loving spirit, adventurous nature, and infectious enthusiasm made him someone people naturally enjoyed being around.
His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Tiffany Barecky, Austin Biddle (Summer), and Alexis Biddle; parents, Marvin Barecky and Marie Jarrell Barecky; siblings, Matthew Barecky (Sheryl) and Mandy Joanne Simms (Gavin); nephew, Dylan Barecky; and niece Sierra Marony (Tyler).
At the request of the family, all services will be private.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
