David Fox, 59, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 24, 2016.
David was born on November 12, 1957 in Marble Hill, Missouri. At a young age, he and his family moved to Maplewood, Missouri where he grew up and graduated from Maplewood High School. Following high school, David proudly served in the United States Air Force until 2001 when he retired as a Master Sergeant after 20 years of service to his country. Later he taught sheet metal aircraft maintenance at Middle Georgia Technical College. David also served as Director of Middle Georgia for American Bass Angler AFT Division 72 and Couples Division 2 from 1998 until 2016. In 2011, he was inducted into the American Bass Anglers Hall of Fame. David was an avid Saint Louis Cardinal's fan and enjoyed watching them every chance he got. He was of the Catholic faith and attended the Base Chapel.
His parents, Cecil and Thelma Brown Fox, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 34 years, Ann Marie Fox of Bonaire; children, Rosie (Fox) and Joshua DeFore of Macon; Jessica (Fox) and Paul Piper of Perry; April Fox of Bonaire; William Buchanan, Jr. of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Tyler Law; Gracie Johnson; Alanis Piper; Andrew Piper; Zander Buchanan; and siblings, Lloyd Woods of Vero Beach, Florida; Gerald Lincoln of Charleston, South Carolina; and Dorothy Seabaugh of Jackson, Missouri.
A Rosary will be said on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. with a visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Perry. Following the service, David will be laid to rest in Andersonville National Cemetery.
