MSgt. Eugene L. Adams, USAF (Ret.)

MSgt. Eugene L. Adams, USAF (Ret.) passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Atrium Health Medical Center in Macon.

Eugene was born on August 21, 1936, in Douglas, Georgia. He was the son of the late William Riley and Elizabeth Nipper Adams.

Eugene faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force for 23 years, retiring with the rank of the Master Sergeant.

Eugene always enjoyed making people smile.

In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by all of his siblings; and son-in-law, Jerry Commander.

He was the beloved husband of 26 years to Sang Sung “Chu” Bowie; father to his children, Tony Adams (Darlene), Angie Commander, and Allen Adams; as well as a host of beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service honoring Eugene’s life will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, MSgt. Eugene L. Adams, USAF (Ret.) will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
