James Richard ''Jim'' Broome, 63, entered into rest on Sunday, October 6, 2013.

Mr. Broome was born on August 17, 1950 in Cave Springs, Georgia. With pride and honor he served his country in the United States Air Force. He was also owner and operator of A1 Lock & Key in Byron. Mr. Broome was a member and Past Master of Tyrian Masonic Lodge No. 111; a 32 Degree, KCCH, member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Macon, GA; member of Constantine Chapter No. 004, Royal Arch Masons; Washington Council No. 06, Royal & Select Masters; St. Omer Commandery No. 2, Knights Templar; charter member of Genesis Chapter No. 166, Royal Arch Masons, and first Past High Priest; charter member of Covenant Council UD, Royal & Select Masters and first Past Illustrious Master; charter member of St. Peter Commandery No. 45, Knights Templar and first Past Commander; member of New Covenant Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine; member of Horace L. Whitlock Council No. 309, Allied Masonic Degrees; member of Warner Robins Chapter of the National Sojourners and Past President; member of Ft. Hawkins Camp of Heroes of 76 and Past Commander; and member of Martha Berry Chapter # 351, Order of the Eastern Star. His parents, Henry and Agnes Broome; and siblings, William Broome and Marie Nelson, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of twenty years, Nancy Broome; daughter, Christy Green; grandchildren, Lee White, Sarah Green and Logan Green; great-grandchild, Aubree White, all of Rome; brother, Gary Broome (Jeanne), Rome; sisters, Charlotte Poff (Danny), Ackworth; Helen Parker (Chuck), Birmingham, Alabama; Betty Jean O'Neill, Macon; Brenda Carrington (Bill), Cedar Bluff, Alabama; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 8, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
