Jerry A. Hayman, Sr., 88, entered into rest on Thursday May 29, 2008.
Mr. Hayman was born on October 24, 1919 in Bradley Junction, Florida. With pride and honor, he served in the United States Army during World War II and landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day, June 6, 1944. He further served in the United States Air Force, eventually retiring as a Master Sergeant. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and his favorite hobby was woodworking. His parents, Oscar and Lillie Rae Hayman, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of sixty-two years, Beulah M. Hayman, Bonaire; sons, Jerry A. Hayman, Jr., Woodbridge, Virginia and Charlie Hayman and his wife, Christine Mauras, Bonaire; grandchildren, Michele Perrin, Melinda Hayman-Kinsley, Melody Samsel, Michael Hayman, and Christopher Hayman; great-grandchildren, Amber Samsel and Michael and Jeremy Perrin.
Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bonaire United Methodist Church Building Fund, 144 Elm Street, Bonaire, GA, 31005.
