On the morning of Tuesday, November 6, 2018, John Wayne Dail entered into eternal rest while at Wellstar Paulding Hospital in Hiram. He was 82.
John was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on July 14, 1936 to the late Sydney and Etta Grant Dail. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, he bravely served his country during Vietnam before retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. John went on to be a manager of Wendy’s and was a devoted member of Harvest Cathedral and its children’s ministries for a number of years. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with family, working in the yard, gardening and watching football, especially the Georgia Bulldogs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Edwin, Judson, and Joyce Dail, Bobby Byrd, and Marie Paddy.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 51 years, Sue Dail of Acworth; children, Wayne Dail (Adriane) of Buford, Georgia and Felicia Dail Gonzalez (Andres) of Acworth, Georgia; grandchildren, Ian Gonzalez-Dail, Ryan Dail, and Peyton Dail; brother, Ricky Dail; and several adoring nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2018 in Magnolia Park Cemetery where John will be laid to rest with Full Military Honors.
