MSgt. Marvin Earl Hawkins, Sr., USAF (Ret.), entered into eternal rest on April 8, 2026. He was born on June 19, 1950, in Providence, Kentucky, to the late James and Margaret Hines Hawkins.

Marvin honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for 24 years, retiring with the distinguished rank of Master Sergeant. His years of military service were marked by dedication, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Following his retirement from the Air Force, Marvin continued his service to others through his work at Robins Air Force Base. He was employed at the Youth Center, where he later retired. It was here where his true passion was clearly reflected in his love for mentoring young children. He found great joy in guiding, encouraging, and positively shaping the lives of countless youth. His patience, wisdom, and genuine care left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him, and many young lives are better because of his influence.

A man of strong Christian faith, Marvin faithfully served as an usher at the Robins Air Force Base Chapel. His life reflected his devotion to God, and he lived as a quiet example of kindness, humility, and service.

MSgt. Hawkins will be remembered for his steadfast faith, his honorable service to his country, and his deep love for helping others—especially the youth he so dearly cherished. His legacy of mentorship, compassion, and integrity will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Nora Hawkins of Warner Robins, Georgia; children, Marvin L. Hawkins, Jr. (Billie Jo) of Elgin, South Carolina, Eleonora A. Hawkins of Riverdale, Georgia, and Maria C. Hawkins of Warner Robins, Georgia; grandchildren, Brente E. Hawkins and Jayden L. Hawkins; great grandchildren, Brielle, Brenton, and Braxton; and siblings, Bobby Hawkins and Linda Hawkins.

At the family’s request, all services will be private.
