Ramon Bascas, formerly of Warner Robins, 81, entered into rest on Sunday, August 11, 2013.
Mr. Bascas was born on February 5, 1932 in Santa Paula, California to the late Ramon and Porfiria Ayala Vasquez. Of the Catholic faith, he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. With pride and honor, MSgt Bascas proudly retired fr
om the United States Air Force, serving his country for over thirty years. Subsequent to his military retirement, Ramon worked as a sporting goods salesman. He was a member of the N.C.O. Club at Robins Air Force Base. Ramon enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents, his first wife, Carmen Bascas; sister, Lupe Diaz; and his grandson, Ryan Miller; preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of sixteen years, Lupe Jimenez Bascas, North Hollywood, California; children, Luis Bascas (Loretta), Duluth, Minnesota; Frank Bascas (Lisa), Macon County, Georgia; Carlos Bascas (Allison), Lawrenceville, Georgia; Maria Miller (Gerald), Bonaire, Georgia; Raquel Bascas, San Antonio, Texas; siblings, Margaret Gillen (Jack), Oceanside, California; Tony Vasquez, Visalia, California; Carman Figueroa, Moorpark, California; Lucy Villa (Frank) Los Osos, California; Martha Ramirez (Ray), Camarillo, California; Salvador Vasquez, Carlisle, Indiana; Rosie Hernandez, Modesto, California; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday evening, August 15 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
