Msgt. Troy Windham, Usaf (Ret.)

Troy Windham, 83, entered into rest on Saturday, March 19, 2016.

Troy was born on December 13, 1932 in Thomaston, Georgia to the late Jesse and Maude Windham. He graduated in 1952 from Robert E. Lee High School in Thomaston where he was very active in sports. With pride and honor, Troy served twenty-two years in the United States Air Force until his retirement as Master Sargent. Troy loved shooting and was on the pistol team for the Air Force. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Because of these passions he opened his long time taxidermy business, Aartistik Taxidermy in Centerville. Troy was a 32nd degree Mason with the Grand Lodge of Georgia Morning Star and was also a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, S.J. Valley of Macon. Westside Baptist Church was his church home.

His parents and siblings, Julian Windham and Irene Underwood preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of sixty one years, June Windham; children, Mark Richard Windham (Robin) of Centerville, Dean Andrew Windham (Maria) of Centerville and Vickie Lynne Earich of Newnan; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; siblings, Leon Windham (Mandy), Dorothy Stephens, Patrick Windham (Dianne) and Lamar Windham (Judy) and sister-in-law, Margory Overy (Sidney).

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with full military honors. Afterwards, Troy will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens with a private graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Troy Windham to Pruitt Hospice, 6060 Lakeside Commons Drive, Macon, Georgia 31210.
