Myers J. McAllister died Monday, October 28, 2002 at Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 2 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Minister John Lee will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home.
Mr. McAllister was born in Dinwiddie, Virginia. He was employed as a lab technician with Brown and Williamson for over 20 years, working in both Virginia and Macon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hammie and Rebecca McAllister; brothers and sisters, Mary M. White, Raymond McAllister, Rosie M. Alley, Herman McAllister, and Albert McAllister; and also his long-time friend and companion, Barbara Sue Ison.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Jeffery McAllister, NC; Rita Fitzsimons, John McAllister, Barbara Denson, Nancy Krise and Helen Pitman, all of Virginia; and many extended family members who brought great joy to his life including Jane and Eddie Smith, Jean and Junius Sampson, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
