Myra Jean White

Our beloved mother, Myra Jean “Jeanne” White passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, July 3, 2005, surrounded by family.

She was born in Union City, Indiana, to Duane and Josephine Wickersham on August 17, 1940. Alongside her husband, Alan, Jeanne owned and operated Landings Golf Course from 1987 to 2005. She also enjoyed reading and traveling.

More than anything, Jeanne’s heart belonged to her family. She never missed the chance to host her family during holidays and made sure she was in the bleachers cheering on her grandchildren for whatever sport they played.

In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her second mom, Ruby Wickersham; son, Eric White; grandson, Tyler Shaw; and siblings, Peggy Thomas and Roger Cline.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Alan White; children, Cathy Holland (Jon), Marcie Shaw (Jeff); grandchildren, Logan Holland (Jordie), Madison Holland (Jenny), Olivia Wolkowicz (Brian), Parker Shaw (Allison), Connor Shaw (Grace), and Davis Shaw; great-grandchildren: Grayson Holland, Chandler Holland, Hank Holland, Johnny Holland, Drew Shaw. She would have welcomed her newest great grandchild in November of 2025. Jeanne is also survived by her siblings, Joan Bowers, Paulette Kelly, Marsha Wickersham, Michael Wickersham and many special nieces and nephews that were close to her heart.

A private family service will be held to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family request prayers at this time.
