Myrtle R.”Polly” Waites, 78, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2006. Services will be held at 2:00 on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
Mrs. Waites was born December 31, 1927 in West Point, Mississippi. She worked in civil service at Robins Air Force Base. Polly was of the Baptist faith. Her husband, Forest E."Big Jim" Waites, her parents, William McCool and Lottie Jones McCool, and her son, Larry W. Reed, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Linda Stewart (Jack), Lizella; Edward L. Reed (Colleen), Orange Park, FL; Peggy Ann Stanfield, MS; William E. Waites (Pam), Clinton, TN; and Michael A. Waites, Lizella; and eighteen grandchildren.
