Nadine Marie Thomas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the age of 81.
Nadine was born on January 13, 1945, in Long Beach, California to the late Walter and Mary Elizabeth Damon. In 1986, she married the love of her life, Charles Andrew Thomas, with whom she counted herself blessed to spend forty wonderful years together. The pair moved all over the country as Charles was restationed. During this time, Nadine worked as a Security Clerk at Sunnyvale Air Force Station, a role she retired from in 2004. They eventually made their home in Perry, Georgia.
In her free time, Nadine enjoyed collecting glass and pottery, attending yard sales and estate sales, and visiting coin shows with her husband.
Above all, Nadine had an unending devotion to her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with them, relishing every moment with her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of extended family. She was known for her intense work ethic, her kind heart, and her passionate commitment to loving those around her.
In addition to her parents, Nadine was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Messenger.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her beloved husband, Charles Andrew Thomas; her children, Ronda Lynn Martin, Marcy Marie Eberhard, Bradley David Gray, Wendy Ann Carella, Chasity Danielle Davison, and Charles Eric Thomas; as well as countless friends and extended family.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Houston Lake Presbyterian Church. Afterward, a memorial service will take place on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the same location.
The family will accept flowers in Nadine’s memory.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
