Nancy Payne Bailey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the age of 74. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and cherished memories. Nancy was born on August 2, 1948, in Fort Riley, Kansas, and was raised in Wellsville, Kansas. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many through her selfless work caring for children and the elderly.

Nancy had a zest for life that was infectious. She embraced every moment and found joy in the simplest of pleasures. Traveling was one of her passions, and she eagerly explored new destinations whenever the opportunity arose. She had a special affinity for the lake and spent countless hours fishing, camping, and enjoying the outdoors with her dog Toast. Additionally, Nancy enjoyed playing online pinochle, engaging in friendly competition and fostering connections with friends and family.

Family meant the world to Nancy, and she cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. She was a nurturing and devoted presence in the lives of her children, Max Rockers (Canddi) and Manual Rockers, both of Joplin, Missouri. Nancy also took immense pride in her seven wonderful grandchildren and 17 amazing great-grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her boundless affection. Her love extended to her siblings, Esther Vogler, Trudy Seacreas, Peggy Nordena, and Frances Sharon, who were pillars of support and shared countless treasured memories together.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Moses Payne and Violet Payne, her son Moses Borror., her grandson Shawn Rockers, and her sister Hazel Sylvester. Although they are no longer physically present, their spirits and the memories they created with Nancy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

To celebrate Nancy's remarkable life, a joyful Celebration of Life will be held in Branson, Missouri, on her birthday, August 2, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Nancy are invited to gather together, reminisce, and honor the vibrant spirit that she embodied.
