Nancy Ann Cobb, affectionately known as “Hippie Chick” to many in the Macon community, passed away on May 14, 2025, at the age of 65.
Nancy was a free spirit with a deep love for music, creativity, and her beloved dog, Dixie. Whether she was making art, crafting something beautiful by hand, or simply sharing a laugh, she brought joy to those around her. Her infectious smile and warm, genuine laugh will be remembered by all who knew her.
Nancy had a gift for connecting with people and a heart that radiated kindness. She lived authentically, embracing life with color and compassion. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Ard and Joanne Smith, daughter, Mandy Smith and brothers, Jim Ard and Glyn Ard.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughter, Dessaray Whitsel; grandson, Conner Beall; and siblings, Jackie Johnson and Pete Ard.
A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Nancy’s life will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at McCullough Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to a fund benefiting Nancy Cobb. These gifts can be made payable directly to McCullough Funeral Home with “Nancy Cobb Memorial Fund” written in the memo line.
