Nell Elizabeth Walker

Nell Elizabeth Wall Walker, 96, entered into rest on Sunday, June 20, 2010.

Mrs. Walker was born on April 4, 1914, in Ocilla, and had lived in Warner Robins since 1951. She was a former member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and very active with Vacation Bible School. A devoted homemaker, she was an in-home seamstress for many years. An avid gardener, she had a love for music, and during the early thirties, she was a member of the Singing Walls Family Gospel Group. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Robert Walker; parents, James Leo Wall and Fannie Mae Miner Wall; and seven brothers and sisters.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Ernie Walker (Sandra), Byron; daughter, Jennifer Truluck, Warner Robins; six granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; three great-grandsons; and brothers, William Wall and George Wall, Jacksonville, Florida.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 22, 2010, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Fred McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
