Olene B. Dillard, 94, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025. Born on April 18, 1931, in Cumberland, Mississippi, she was the daughter of Charlie Blanton and Ellie Davis Blanton.
Olene grew up in Cumberland, where she attended Cumberland High School. She went on to college with hopes of becoming a missionary, but her path led her to marriage and starting a family — a role she embraced wholeheartedly as a devoted homemaker.
In the late 1950s, Olene moved to Warner Robins, where she built a life rooted in faith, family, and service to others. She was a long-time member of Second Baptist Church and found great joy in reading and talking about the Bible, cooking meals from the heart, listening to gospel music, and offering comfort and encouragement to everyone around her.
Above all, Olene was known for her sweet, gentle nature and her unwavering love for her family. After the passing of her daughter, she selflessly stepped in to raise her grandson, Nathan, from the age of three. He was the light of her life, and she devoted herself to ensuring his happiness and success.
Olene believed in making sacrifices for her loved ones, always putting others before herself. She was a quiet force of strength, warmth, and compassion — the kind of woman whose presence made you feel seen and cared for. Olene was preceded in death by her children, Brenda Gardner and Randy Dillard and two sisters.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her grandchildren, Nicole Key, Jason Jones, Nathan Gardner and Brandon Dillard and a great grandchild.
A graveside service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Her legacy of kindness, faith, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
